Help Children Survive Cancer
Hematology and Oncology Center
The four words you never want to hear are: “Your child has cancer.” But when you do, you gather your strength and vow that you will not let cancer win. The Hematology and Oncology Center at Cook Children’s is helping kids and their families win their fight against cancer. A unique part of the center is the metaiodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) suite and is the only one of its kind in Texas and the Southwest to combat neuroblastoma. This lead-lined room helps children receive groundbreaking radiation treatment without having to travel far from home. The suite also includes a special adjoining room where parents can see, talk and comfort their child during treatment. For more information visit CookChildrens.org.
